about

With niya kîminîcâkan, Dump Babes takes one more step away from it's folk-rock roots, and into the depths of Trash-Pop. We let our obsession with disco take the wheel, and it drove us straight back to the landfill. As always though, we seek meaning in garbage.

Aurora’s song-writing centres around themes of colonialism, Indigenous displacement, and identity. In this album, she explores these concepts through a contemporary lens that rejects commodified stereotypes of Indigeneity, and embraces her status as a full-time dirtbag.

With loving thanks to our bassist, mentor, and coolest friend Jill Mack for making this album happen. You will never be forgotten.
